Our Story: From Pre-Google to Present Day

Remember the days of Lycos, Yahoo, AltaVista, and Ask Jeeves? That’s where our story begins. Back in 1998, while most businesses were just discovering email, we were already pioneering the digital frontier in East Perth.

How It All Started

When Peter Brittain founded Slinky Interactive (later Slinky Digital) in mid-1998, we started by offering telecommunications and internet services.

It was during this time, through managing our own online business, that we discovered something crucial: SEO wasn’t just another marketing tool – it was going to be the future of business success.

Those early years were filled with experimentation, countless hours of research, and testing theories across various search engines.

This was before Google dominated the landscape, and each search engine had its own peculiarities.

What started as necessity-driven learning evolved into a passion for helping other businesses succeed online.
